Trettevik graduated from WWU

Maya Trettevik graduated from Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA on Saturday, December 11, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. This was the first in-person graduation ceremony held at WWU in the past two years due to COVID. Maya was one of many students who made it through COVID-19 restrictions to complete her degree.

Maya now works as a Home Study and Post-Adoption Coordinator at a West Washington adoption agency. Her goal is to learn all she can about adoptions at this level before pursuing a master’s degree in social work and continuing to work in the field of adoptions.

Maya would like to thank everyone who believed in her and encouraged her throughout her studies, including the many organizations in Forks who provided much-needed scholarships to her first- and second-year students after they graduated. graduated from Forks High School. These scholarships included Quillayute Valley, Soroptimist International of Olympic Rain Forest, Albert Haller Foundation, Hull Family Foundation, Emblem Club, Florence Ninke Music, FHS Class of 56, Scottish Rites of Freemasonry Bremerton Valley, Forks Elks Lodge Fred Orr, Concerned Citizens, Clallam County 4-H and Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Maya has been active in Christian Campus Ministry at WWU and is also grateful for their housing allowance during her senior year.
