Stephanie McMahon was named in Variety’s 2022 New York Women’s Impact Report. The WWE executive was among the list of women who have made an impact on the media landscape over the past year.
McMahon joins a list that includes Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, HBO’s executive vice presidents of documentary and family, Frances Berwick, president of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, DirecTV Lead Manager of Influencer & Sponsored Content Alyssa Billups, and more. McMahon’s entry reads:
“As CBO, McMahon leads the company’s global brand strength and growth, overseeing marketing, creative services, and global sales and partnerships. While she still occasionally plays a character in front of the camera, her focus is behind the scenes – and shines a spotlight on female performers as the driving force behind WWE’s female evolution. This year she saw WrestleMania 38, which took place live over two nights and became WWE’s highest-grossing and highest-attended event in company history with over 150,000 fans.
The article quotes McMahon on his biggest challenge ahead: “Navigating the digital transition from web 2.0 to web3, blockchain, the continued advancement of AI and what it looks like in business and in our society in general”.
