ATLANTA (CBS46) – The Atlanta Braves are heading to the World Series for the first time since 1999!

Eddie Rosario has been named NLCS MVP!
T9: Closest to the Braves, Will Smith, put an end to any idea of a Dodgers rally and sent the Braves to their first World Series since 1999!
B8: A brace from Jorge Soler gave the Braves a threat, but Kenley Jansen struck out Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley at bat to keep the two-point margin intact. We’re heading into the 9th inning with the Braves leading 4-2.
T8: Tyler Matzek continued his dominance until the 8th, with a 1-2-3 record and his 4th strikeout of the evening. The Braves are only three outs from a trip to the World Series!
B7: Dansby Swanson got a 2s single, but the Braves couldn’t capitalize. We’re heading into the 8th inning with Atlanta leading Los Angeles 4-2.
T7: Braves reliever Tyler Matzek entered the game with runners in the 2nd and 3rd without any outs and recorded three consecutive strikeouts to limit damage and maintain the Braves 4-2 lead into the 7th inning.
T7: After a brace from Chris Taylor and a goal over Cody Bellinger, AJ Pollock doubled the left field line to bring the Dodgers down to under two at 4-2. Braves reliever Luke Jackson did not record a withdrawal.
B6: The Braves get consecutive goals at the end of the 6th inning, but they can’t take advantage of them. We’re heading to the top of the 7th inning with the Braves still in the lead 4-1.
B5: No goal on either side in the 5th round. We are heading towards 6th with the Braves still in the lead 4-1.
B4: Eddie Rosario laces a ball on the straight field line for a 3-point home run, his 14th NLCS hit! The Braves now lead the Dodgers 4-1 before the start of the 5th inning.
What a series for Eddie Rosario.
He’s now 14 for 24 in this NLCS (.583).
If that RH turns out to be a winner, he will break the record for most success in an LCS that has not played 7 games.
The old record: 13, by Will Clark in a legendary * 5 player * in the NLCS 1984.

B4: Braves manager Brian Snitker pulls out starting pitcher Ian Anderson for pinch hitter Ehire Adrianza, who rips a broken double bat down the line.
T4: The playoff resurgence for Cody Bellinger continues as he ties the game for the Dodgers early in the 4th inning with a left single, scoring Trea Turner.
B1: The Braves enter the board first with back-to-back doubles from Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley and the Braves lead the Dodgers 1-0.
Pre-match: The battery is ELECTRIC outside of Truist Park tonight! Fans are everywhere, ready to cheer on their team at the World Series!
